We are proud to celebrate Carrie Mandak’s 3-year anniversary with Forum Solutions. Carrie is a seasoned leader with 15+ years of experience in business transformation and large enterprise software implementation. Carrie’s industry experience includes retail, local government, higher education, and healthcare. Outside of work, Carrie likes to be outside in any format, traveling and gardening, as well as experimenting in the kitchen including pickling and brewing.

Why did you choose to work at Forum?

Before joining Forum, I worked in the public sector for 20 years, 10 of which involved implementing large software systems. Before my public sector experience, I had worked in and owned small businesses. I chose to work at Forum Solutions because, as a local boutique consulting firm, I could gain experience in a variety of industries while being part of a smaller organization that is connected and still innovative. My work at Forum has been a great experience on both counts.

What do you enjoy most about consulting?

The thing I enjoy most about consulting is the variety of problems that you may face. I love connecting the dots, problem-solving, and working in teams. The work never gets boring as there are constantly new challenges to engage with.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

If I had the resources, I would take my dream adventure of walking around the Mediterranean Sea. This long trek would lead you through so many interesting and historical civilizations, languages, and cuisines. It would also nearly always be warm and by the water, both of which I love.

What does being part of a local Seattle-based consulting firm mean to you?

Forum has many deep ties to the local community and fosters new ones through its pro bono work. Each year, Forum commits 150 hours to help a client in need of consulting services. These clients are typically in the non-profit sector, so our work with the organization radiates out to serve others.
