Why did you choose to work at Forum?

My list of reasons why I chose to work at Forum is long. I have only been here a year, but I feel like I belong here. I love the opportunity to work with different clients, solve problems, and make an impact quickly. My peers at Forum are highly collaborative and create a positive work culture even though we are not always with the same clients. Leadership is invested in the firm and Associate development, and it feels great being a part of a growing firm.

What do you enjoy most about consulting?

Although I am new to consulting, I think my skills are highly transferable to different industries and problems. I value building relationships, understanding business problems, and creating solutions that are tied to business outcomes. I am able to quickly ramp up in domains and industries and apply program and project management structures to drive value. I have worked in data and analytics, healthcare, regulations and compliance, security operations and technology, asset management, and supply chain management. I love learning and consulting allows me exposure to different stakeholders and business strategies which keeps things interesting and exciting.

What is a side project or personal passion that excites you?

I have a background in hospitality and the wine industry. I worked my way through college and graduate school starting with a pizza shop all the way to fine dining. When I moved to the Pacific Northwest 10 years ago, my first job was at a local family-owned winery in Woodinville. All of this led me to my passion for wine. Well, that and my dad who I always enjoyed having a glass with. I enjoy sharing, learning, and developing my tasting pallet. About two years ago I joined a tasting group of wine enthusiasts, and we meet weekly to do blind tasting flights. We now occasionally even share a meal or two together. It is a great community. I have an extensive wine collection with off-site storage. If you need recommendations or want to geek out on wine, let's chat!

What does being part of a local Seattle-based consulting firm mean to you?

I am originally from Ohio, but Seattle is home. Being part of a local Seattle-based consulting firm allows me to feel connected to the community and impact it directly. I am also excited for the opportunity to explore more boards and volunteering this year as part of one of my personal and professional goals. I have two young children (3 and 5) and investing in Seattle is more important to me than ever.
