Question #1: How has Forum supported your Professional Development?
Each year, associates get access to a professional development stipend to grow their skillsets. The stipend can be used for classes, certificates, conferences, etc. Last year, I used my stipend to become a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). This course helped me build a strong foundation in project management principles, equipping me with practical skills in planning, execution, and stakeholder management. I appreciate that Forum allows their associates to grow and pursue their longer-term career interests.
Question #2: What do you enjoy most about consulting?
One of the things I enjoy most about consulting is the opportunity to work on diverse projects across different industries. Since joining, I have worked on projects in the retail, healthcare, transportation, and non-profit industries, and I love how each engagement presents a unique challenge, allowing me to develop my skills. Additionally, I really enjoy working with such diverse clients across Seattle. It is neat to see your work impact so many different organizations in the community that I live in.
Question #3: What’s something on your bucket list that you hope to accomplish?
One day, I hope to become a part time high school or college basketball coach. I have loved basketball ever since I was a little kid. Now that I am not playing anymore, I want to stay in touch with the game as much as I can.
Question #4: How have you seen Forum make an impact on the local Seattle Community?
Each year, Forum donates pro bono hours to a local Seattle based non-profit organization. I have been lucky to have participated in some of these projects, where we have helped organizations enhance their impact on the community. Seeing these organizations grow and serve the community more effectively has been a really rewarding experience. It is also great to see your work have a positive effect on people in need around Seattle.
